MPU Poetry Workshop: Where we meet the world

I am running a workshop on Sat 10 September for Melbourne Poets Union. It's called 'Where we meet the world' and will explore how we write poetry that emerges from the many ways we meet the world.

From moments situated deeply within ourselves to the ways we encounter public, social and political pressures. We will look at a couple of examples of contemporary poetry that engage with this meeting in different ways and then generate a number of new poems, using a range of techniques.

Suitable for all levels of experience from very new poets to those more experienced wanting a few new tips and tools.

10.30 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. at the Kathleen Syme Library in Carlton.
